Palladium metal belongs to the noble metal group. Palladium metal is very similar to platinum metal and like this is often used for catalysts and for jewelry. Palladium metal is more reactive than platinum but in the last year palladium is a bit more expensive then platinum. Palladium metal can very well absorb, store and then release hydrogen, for that reason it is widely used as catalyst in organic reactions.
